Kristen is a co-founding partner and convener of JAIDE Conservation Collective, a BIPOC- and women-led environmental conservation organization, comprehensively utilizing the values of Justice, Advocacy, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity in every aspect of work. Kristen is focused on agroecosystems, ecocultural stewardship, fire resiliency, environmental justice, and assisting organizations to integrate JEDI values into their structures and programs. In this role, Kristen serves as the primary partner engaged in organizational development, which includes program management, capacity and relationship building, grant writing, and holds roles such as facilitator and policy advocate. Kristen holds a degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems from UC Davis. Kristen also holds the Treasurer position at the Sacramento Food Policy Council and hosts a Spanish-English language exchange.
